Specifications:

  • SUCCESS: Boots from internal HD. Co-exists with OS X. Needs hacked gptsync to sync MBR. Requires Solaris B51 or later to not destroy MBR when writing GPT changes.
  • SUCCESS: LAN NIC works
  • Partial: WiFi NIC works (good-for-nothing.org reports full success, I'll investigate this more later)
  • Partial: Video appears to be running at 1024x768, instead of the native 1280x800. I haven't yet played with 915resolution, but Nexenta has a prebuilt package already so I'll do that soon.
  • Fail: Trackpad
  • Fail: Wireless USB mouse
  • Untested: Wired USB mouse

Teaser: Minimum requirements: Solaris Express build 51 or later, hacked/patched copy of rEFIt, latest MacBook firmware.
