From Docupedia

So when you install SuSE 10 and firefox by default Adobe doesn't work as a plugin. Here are some simple steps to follow.

#newbox> cd /usr/X11R6/lib/Acrobat7/Browser/
#newbox> sudo ./install_browser_plugin
This will install the browser plugin for acroread.
Enter the install directory for Adobe Reader 7.0 [/usr/X11R6/lib/Acrobat7]
1. Perform global installation
2. Perform user-specific installation (Mozilla/Firefox/Netscape)
Enter your choice [1/2] 1
Enter the browser install directory - /opt/MozillaFirefox/lib
The plugin seems to be already installed. Are you sure you want to overwrite ? [y/n] y
Installation successful. Added the file /opt/MozillaFirefox/lib/plugins/nppdf.so
Do you want to install another browser ? [y/n] n

That should get the plugin into place. All you have to do now is open your control center. Go to Internet and Network ---> Web Browser ---> Plugins. On the right hand side click new. Provide the directory /opt/MozillaFirefox/lib/plugins/ then click Scan for new plugins. It will ask you to save before you do this. Do that and then close and reopen firefox and you should be good to go!!!
